Securing four coveted titles at The Negotiator Awards in November, Applegate Properties has bolstered its reputation even further — named as the leading estate agent in Holmfirth, courtesy of The British Property Awards.
Taking a forceful step away from traditional judging processes, the programme adopts a more ‘under the radar’ route — identifying authentic, best-in-class organisations and helping consumers make more informed decisions when scoping out a professional.
With an initial round of mystery shopping, the panel compares every estate agent against a set of 25 criteria, to obtain a balanced overview of their customer service levels. Then, to gain a more in-depth picture of performance, a number of data sets are analysed too — from the timeframe properties have been listed before an agreement has been made, the percentage resulting in either Sold STC or let agreed, as well as transaction fall-throughs, and more.
Observing the online presence of the property agents visited too, the judging team creates a shortlist of three finalists. These are then put through a rigorous final round of consideration, including the instruction of additional judging and a final, more detailed mystery shop.
With no financial barriers to entry, The British Property Awards is one of the most inclusive industry providers — with maximum participation and removed bias, the structure of the awards aims to highlight the most outstanding agents within their local marketplace.
